Star Editor — Create a free website, no code.

Star Editor is a free app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac that lets anyone build a real website by tapping and typing, then publish it with one button. No coding, no subscription, and nothing collected about you.

Get Star Editor on the App Store

The Star Editor app icon next to three iPhone screens: a sample site being edited, the look and colour picker, and the You’re online confirmation with the site’s pages.dev address.

Why I built it: Star Editor is on the App Store. It’s free, and it collects nothing.

What you need

Common questions

Does it cost anything?

No. The app is free, and hosting on Cloudflare’s free plan is free.

Where is my website stored?

Your site lives on your device while you edit. When you publish, the files go straight from your device to your own Cloudflare account. We never see them.

How do I get an access key?

When you first tap Publish, the app walks you through creating one in your Cloudflare dashboard.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes. After publishing, add it in your Cloudflare dashboard under your Pages project’s Custom domains. The app’s Help section explains the steps.

Can my child publish without supervision?

The app has no content review or parental controls. Anyone with the access key on a device can publish immediately, so supervision of young publishers is up to the adult who owns the Cloudflare account.

How do I delete my site or data?

Delete the site in the app (or delete the app). To take a published site offline, delete the project in your Cloudflare dashboard, and revoke the access key under your Cloudflare profile’s API Tokens.
